There Ought to Be a Law

The man of the house carefully put us here to separate out the
recyclables from the trash. I am the one closest to the kitchen
door, and I am supposed to hold newspapers. The woman of
the house just opens the kitchen door and tosses the items,
letting them fall where they may. The man of the house has
threatened to call the Earth Day Police.

Is this a case of role reversal? In my experience, the woman does the sorting, the man does the trashing. Lol.
Alas, I’m the environmentalist in the family.
Thus another sorted affair is trashed.
Succinctly superb.
Call the police!
As David B. pointed out below, I’m a day late and a law short.
Just trying to sort this one out!
I actually audibly groaned, David. One of two possible reactions to a successful pun.
Just returning the daily favor!
You made me laugh… as always… I hope The Earth Day Police wouldn’t visit my house
Thank you dear John, have a nice day, with my love, nia
You only have one day each year to worry about them.
The law’s been recycled and the Earth Day police only work one day a year.
So I missed my chance by not calling them yesterday.
Is that sirens I hear????
Alas, as David pointed out above they only answer calls one day each year, and I missed my chance!
there is always next year
