But They Both Have A Bark

I was the focal point of all of their holiday decorations, and countless people said how “pretty” I was. So much for pretty. Soon the city workers will collect me and turn me into mulch. I just hope they don’t use my wood chips in the dog park. Like trees everywhere I’ve never liked having my trunk used as a latrine. No tree that I know of has ever liked dogs.

May the forest be with you.
I hope you mean the “Good Side.”
Indeed tree and dog have few things in common, bark is one of those things that are seen as same, pronounced and written too, but one covers the tree and another makes us take cover with the tree.
Good point, Kalabalu. Dogs and trees also both have LIMBS.
yes
How about Dogwoods?
Good point, but I’ve heard that other trees think they’re traitors, so they’ve wanted to have the family name changed legally for many a season. The court system, though, has such a backlog when it comes to petitions from trees.
Hilarious. I will pass on the info to the fields of dogwood growing at the tree farm.
But alas, it is time to bough out of the tree scene and branch into other environmental endeavors.
But he won’t have mulch say in the next phase of his life.
