Didn’t Die. Was Just a Little EARLY.

As the patron angel of the outside Christmas decorations, my real work is just beginning. No one experiences post-holiday depression worse than decorations that won’t be needed for another year. My date book here shows that I’m booked for counseling sessions through the end of August. That’s when I can start saying, “Cheer up; it’s almost December.” That works better than saying “Eight months down, three more to go.” Last time I said that a wreath hung herself on the front door.

We use the snow & cold as an excuse not take it down. Sometimes it works.
There are those who then see how close we are to next season, according to the stores & commercials, that they just spruce up the old stuff.
An immediate solution to their post-holiday depression–never take them down!
