I’m in trouble now. It’s getting late and it’s snowing hard. She told me to meet her at the feeder at 4:30, but I must have tuned her out when she said what feeder. When she starts yelling at me, I’ll use my standard defense: “Yes, Dear, but did you tell me when I was listening?“

Art imitating life. My wife has a bad habit of talking to me while I’m watching TV. By the time I become aware that we were engaged in conversation (?) I’m in trouble. I’m sure to fail a pop quiz later in the week.
