Light Conversation

OK, so I’m an artificial light, who pales in comparison to the sun. But how many sunny days do you get in winter in Ohio? And who keeps your little chlorophyll factories pumping after dark? Without me you might not even be blooming now. You all need to work on your appreciation skills.

You have an eye for seeing arrangements that make fantastically composed photographs. I think that is a great gift that most people don’t possess.
Greetings,
rabirius.
Thanks for commenting, Rabirius, and thanks for subscribing! After over 600 posts I can no longer look at inanimate objects without “hearing” conversations or seeing human-like interactions.** The compositions are guided by that. –John
**Fortunately, I live in a century when they no longer lock people away for this.
Oh dear John, they are so beautiful. lost all flowers of mine… Should I make like yours, really works
Thanks and Love, nia
By using sunlight AND artificial light, the plants bloom nonstop all year!
Articial light… I haven’t used this before, as soon as I want to try this dear John, Thank you, love, nia
I can’t tell, are they all Gloxinias? Nice shot of color!
They are Streptocarpus. I have a link on the blog home page to my Flickr photos of them: http://www.flickr.com/photos/my_streps/ They are in CONSTANT bloom. (My very 1st one–”Tie Dyed”, right foreground–bloomed 2-1/2 YEARS nonstop until I had to divide it.) I was hooked.
All are beautiful, but I think ‘Bristol’s Lily White’ is the best. Do they have a fragrance? I’ll have to ask my florist about these.
Fragrance is rare. Here’s where I order mine: https://www.violetbarn.com/shop/index.php?_a=category&cat_id=17 (Click on the 2 purple links to see their offerings.) I avoid the high winter shipping costs by ordering during the warm months. They bloom when just “babies”–sometimes arriving with buds on them, but you never have to wait long.
Can’t beat renegade4god. Definitely the winner on this one.
It’s hard (sometimes impossible) for ME to beat David B., Donna. If I ever want to turn over the reins of this blog, he’d be the first person I’d ask.
Awww, lighten up!
I can always count on you, David, for a bright comment! I’ll pray for your postal truck on the black ice today. Stay out of ditches (and ponds).
