The problem with being a Gothic Cathedral, under construction for a century, is that so many of my beloved craftsmen are gone. Their devotion will live until the end of time. Darn! I’ve made myself cry.
The Washington National Cathedral, completed in 83 years, is undergoing repairs for damage from the 2011 earthquake that shook the nation’s capital.
