I am the grand tree in the Walnut Room. The lunch crowd is discussing their New Year’s Eve resolutions, most of which will be broken soon after the ball drops tonight. I’m glad I’m a tree, fir sure.

This is great. The tree is the smartest “person” around!
John, Your photography never ceases to amaze me.
Thanks, Sheri. I needed the new camera to be all that I can be as a photographer. Side Note: When this Chicago Marshall Fields was built around 1900, Mrs. Fields wanted the Walnut Room to be a place where society women could congregate and dine.
My oldest brother did his MBA somewhere around the area of Chicago – I was 9 or 10 so what does a little sister have to be impressed with at that age. I do remember being oh so impressed with Marshall Fields and the coat my sister-in-law allowed me to pick out on my very own. I felt like a princess plus I knew my mother would hate it!
Happy New Year, John!
And to you, Greg. May all of your flowers pose perfectly for you this year!
It’s an evergreen of a problem.
A real tree-topper of a comment.
Your needling about the New Year’s resolution breakers is the right “cone”nection!
Yes, except that retired OU employees never break their resolutions!
Why bother? Because that’s what makes us different. This grand tree
cannot set itself up next year, but we can set ourselves up for the coming
year to be as great and creative as never seen before.
That’s really quite profound!
“…and will resolve to remain so.” Going out on a limb and wishing all Daily Graffers a blessed New Year!
And a blessed New Year to you, my friend!
Yes it is! Thanks for commenting and Happy 2015!
May this New Year be as adventurous as you are giving you new nooks and crannies to explore, new heights to achieve and new avenues to glide through.
Happy New Year, Mihran! Your sentiment is well-timed. I retired at the end of July, and I’m learning guitar and concentrating on my photography, hoping to sell some images/photos.
