I thought that dressing up as a red heart would be all the Valentine’s Day gift you would need, Dear, but since you’re giving me the cold shoulder, I’ll add it to the two I’ve already got.

Despite it all, birds of a feather still flock together.
These are just 2 of MANY cardinals that visit my feeder.
Elmediat stole all my puns! 😀
Joseph has taken it as his personal mission to leave no pun unturned (or unspurned). You have to get hear before he does.
Early bird gets the pun, huh?
Yeah, and we can eat puns (often have to eat mine) but not WORMS.
Lutherans were known for a Diet of Worms, or as they said in the Vatican, the Worms turn in protest.
My verbal madness can be viewed in three recent posts (my sleep pattern is getting very twisty) :
I visited all three, Joseph. I feel that I have a better grasp on your digital art than on your prose. Both are surreal. Did you make the muybridge3.gif? It’s wonderful! Could call it “Dancing Around The Clock.”
I made the two smaller ones. The larger one originated on one of the links about Georges Méliès and early animation. 🙂
Sorry, it was late and my brain was punned to the wall. Though I am sure there are more, but you have to wing it. At least that is my pinion on this feathery topic. 😀
I think she’s still mad because we didn’t fly South to Florida like many of our friends. Even the Monarchs are basking in the sun in Mexico.
It was 0 degrees F this morning. They should start packing NOW.
How about some forked tongue to go with that?
That would be un-beak-coming.
Thanks for visiting and commenting, Matt! Your blog is first-rate.
P.S. I took the shot through a window with a zoom lens. It turned out far better than I could have hoped.
The right place at the right time. Good thing you had your camera handy.
When I saw several cardinals flying to and from this tree and our feeder, I grabbed my camera and held it against the dining room window for 20 min., taking several shots. Committed the cardinal sin, but when they are seeing red, you need to read between the limbs or they will needle you while you pine. Then again they just give you the brush off in a cone of silence or declare that you are a flake, barking up the wrong tree of love. Maybe he should have Tweeted first ?
Joseph! I think you exhausted every POSSIBLE pun based on that caption!
