  • I will definitely miss this blog, but I understand retiring from the obligation of a daily post. Your dedication in sticking to it so long is admirable. Will you have a less formal blog where you’ll post sometimes? I’d like to follow you if you’ll still be online somewhere.

    • Thanks, Sheri. I’ve been so busy putting the new blog in place that I’m just now getting back to addressing past comments. As you now know, I’ve already answered your question.

I hope I remember to stop by on the day of the sunset!

  • Ken Oprzadek says:

Yes’ you can retire, but I don’t think you’ll tire of seeing the clever, witty, humorous things you encounter everyday. Looking forward to some gems in the future.

    • For seven years I’ve had to scan my surroundings for caption-worthy photos. It’s a hard habit to break. I still catch myself thinking, “Oh, that would make a good Daily Graff photo!”

  • Doris says:

John, So sad to see that you will be ending your blog. I have greatly enjoyed these very much. Certainly was fun to see what humorous comments you would post with your great photos. Such a creative mind and artistic talent. These will be missed by your many followers. We hope that occasionally you will still post something for us to enjoy. Best wishes on your future endeavors, whatever that may be. We know that you will continue to find things of much interest to you. Best always.

Makes me so sad… I will miss too! I wish you all the best dear John, Thank you for all your posts, beauties, and smiles were a gift for us. Still I can’t believe that it is going to be end… Blessing and Happiness, Love, nia

    • Thanks, Nia. Watch for my final announcement on Friday.

      • niasunset says:

        I am excited now 🙂

I await your announcement that you will be running for Senate seat. The newly formed United Sane States of America Party will do well with input.

I do prefer your Daily Graff to the Daily Gaffs & Graft pouring/leaking out of Washington. 🙂

        • Thanks, Joseph. I never thought I could EVER handle the demands of being President, but now I’m thinking that anyone who is good at organizing thoughts could do a better job than . . .

          • elmediat says:

John, your observation on organizing thoughts really hits the point. With my background in Spec-Ed, the description of actions/choices, speech patterns and his coping strategies just to me someone with some form of Attention Deficit Hyper Activity processing issues (learning & communicating) Obviously what worked for him in his business life is not suited to his present position as President.

It is a sad, funny, and depressingly absurd situation for your country and the rest of the world.

            All the best. 🙂

            • I wake up every day wondering how this man can possibly be our president. Every day he proves the critics right who kept insisting during the election campaign that he’s “not competent” to be president.

The sun never truly sets. There is always some part of the world it is still seen. So although you may stop the blog, the warmth you have created over the years will always be felt.

Although John’s blog is near end,
He has touched the hearts and challenged the wits of many a friend.
Meshing his photo’s with witty sayings was truly his art.
His impact is far greater than he knows and we wish he would not depart.
He will be missed as he made grey days brighter
    And life’s burdens much lighter.

    Many Thanks John!!!!

    Driving off into the sunset?

I will be so sorry to have you “retire”. I will miss the Punny thoughts! I wish you well John!!!
